Ken Luxton drove v8's for B.S.C.D.A his no was 160 he drove with Fred Mitchell, Jock Lloyd, Pete Tucker and others of that era, he broke away and drove F2's for Spedeworth and B.S.C.D.A at the same time which was not strictly by the rules, his driving name for spedeworth was Ken Gardener no 87. He had much success at this formula at red top status, But driving yellow top for B.S.C.D.A caused some rows with the likes of Pete Tucker, Ken having a duel with Pete at Brafield winning the ST JOHNS Ambulance trophy event.

He was runner up at wimbledon F2 World Championship I believe it was 1962 after leading until the last 3 laps the win being taken by Stan Ingle no 2.
