After Les Eaton split from the BSCDA(British Stock Car Racing Drivers Association) in 1961, for an alleged infringment of their rules, at a meeting on the 16/7/1961 when the stock-car control board officials were removed from the sunday Aldershot meeting, les eaton made his ultimate decision to continue his meeting regardless the result of this actions there was an emergency meeting by the board of control to withdraw les eatons racing licence at aldershot and arlington stadiums,they then notified all of their formula 2 drivers that to race for the pirate promotion they would then be banned from racing at all BSCDA controlled formula 2 tracks ie: northampton,tamworth etc.
From this point les eaton spedeworth stock car racing company was born with it's HQ as it became affectionately known at aldershot stadium.
