Spedeworth had operated wimbledon stadium since the start of the 1960's, home of the formula 2 stock car world championship from 1962-1974.
This stadium has been described as the jewel in the spedeworth crown, in 1962 stan ingle became spedeworth formula 2 world champion and also british champion.
The stadium still hosts racing of all types to the present day.
